Once you step into college you’re on your own, you don’t know anyone from your class (unless you’re so lucky that you ended up being in a class with someone you know ) but most likely you won’t. Adjusting in college is hard , it’s where you have to be independent. If you’re thinking that people in college and high school are the same then you’re wrong. But on the bright side as time goes by you’re gonna enjoy college cause that’s where the fun begins. Oh and by the way
Here’s 7 tips that I want to share with you from my personal experience.
1. Don’t be late on the first day or first week of the class.
You don’t wanna give a bad impression on your professor on the first day don’t you?
2. Use social media.
You can find your classmates on social medias like facebook, some of them might have already made a facebook group for your block. Then get to know them beforehand so you’ll have clue on the first day you’ll be meeting them.
3. Be nice.
I know this is obvious but I just want to remind you guys cause everyone loves people who are nice 😉
4. Ask upperclassmen on things you need to bring on the first day.
Usually you need your notebook of course, ID pictures, index cards, your pen (obviously). Don’t bring too much things on the first day.
5. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be shy. Be who you are.
Trust me guys, this one is very important. You need to be more open when it comes to people. You can’t just sit around all day and not talk to anyone right ? You need to talk to people to have friends! Don’t be afraid if they won’t like you. You didn’t live to please people 😉
6. Pinterest
Search up some tips and tricks about college in pinterest. There are tons of useful stuffs there that can help you.
7. ENJOY YOUR FIRST DAY !
The most important is to enjoy your day! I know you can be very nervous since its the first day but its also exciting. Make the best out of it 😉
